Sahba’s salon: WOMEN, ART AND POWER

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS BRIDGET QUINN AND JULIE LYTHCOTT-HAIMS

WOMEN, ART AND POWER
Thursday, April 13
7pm to 9pm

Please join me for a very special salon – “Women, Art and Power” – featuring a conversation with the wildly artistic, creative and powerful Bridget Quinn and Julie Lythcott-Haims!

Bridget Quinn is a writer, art history scholar and educator. Her new book Broad Strokes: 15 Women Who Made Art and Made History is a feisty look at the lives, legacies and artworks of fifteen significant – and too often ignored – women artists. Named a Top 10 by Publishers Weekly for Spring 2017 in Memoirs/Biographies, O, the Oprah Magazine says of Broad Strokes, “Your Art History 101 syllabus just got a lot more fun.” Julie Lythcott-Haims writes, thinks, and speaks about the human condition. She is particularly interested in each of us having the chance to make our way in the world and in the obstacles that can get in the way. Her memoir on race, Real American, will be out in August. She is also the author of the New York Times bestseller How to Raise an Adult which gave rise to a TED talk that became one of the top talks of 2016.

Sahba Shere is a Bay Area-based artist whose work is artfully inspired by her world travels and deeply influenced by nature and meditation. A painter and abstract photographer, Sahba’s works can be found everywhere from private residential art collections, luxury hotels, and corporations, to art galleries, universities, public venues, and art shows across the U.S. and around the globe. Passionate about bringing art into people’s everyday lives, Sahba regularly hosts art-inspired special events at her Palo Alto studio and curates a popular salon series that brings together those who love art and the art of good conversation.

Please message me for an invitation.
